ST. PAUL — Minnesota Democrats say they will spend their annual legislative break hosting town halls across the state in a tour of gatherings to “Fight back Against Trump.” The town hall tour — planned for April 12-22 in St.
Paul, Duluth, Moorhead, St. Cloud, Minneapolis, Stillwater and the South Metro area — are intended to provide a place for discussion about actions by President Donald Trump and his administration, according to an April 4 press release. The press release included federal worker terminations, tariffs, proposed Medicaid cuts and possible dismantling of the Department of Education in potential town hall talking points.
ADVERTISEMENT Senate majority leader Erin Murphy, DFL-St. Paul, who said she will be at almost all stops of the tour, said in a press release that the town halls aim to give Minnesotans a voice. “Minnesotans are struggling right now, and they are feeling the pain from the harmful and chaotic actions coming from Washington, D.
C.,” Murphy said. “We know it is hurting our economy and making it harder for us to balance the state budget .
