A minivan crashed into a crowd Sunday afternoon in Downtown Los Angeles, hitting nine people, including three children, authorities said.The Los Angeles Fire Department responded around 3:16 p.m.
to the crash at 326 E. 12th St. in the Fashion District and transported three boys, ages eight, 11 and 17; and four women, ages 23, 30, 54 and 65 to a hospital.
They were reported to be in fair condition, the LAFD said.Two other women, both age 23, were assessed at the scene and declined hospitalization for their injuries.Fire crews stayed on scene to handle the minivan, which was stuck under a collapsed patio.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately known. Los Angeles police were investigating the situation.
