Milo Ventimiglia is now a part of his own big three. The This Is Us star and wife Jarah Mariano have officially become a trio after welcoming their first baby, Ke’ala Coral Ventimiglia , on Jan. 23.
Along with the birth announcement, Jarah shared a photo of the little one's feet alongside their dog. " Gentle reminder to all, to please allow us this time & space to nest with our newborn in such a delicate phase," she wrote in the Jan. 31 Instagram post.
"We already have everything we need in abundance & will be back around with updates in our own time." The arrival of the couple’s baby comes shortly after the actor and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model lost their home in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires . "We lost our home that we were living in & everything we own, as well as our home under construction that we were about to move into," she continued in her message.
"I was 38 weeks pregnant & I had done an evacuation only a few weeks prior during the Franklin Fire as well. I take it as a gift that I was able to essentially do a practice run for what was inevitably to come." And while they sadly left their home behind, Jarah is feeling gratitude for being surrounded by her loved ones.
"My family & I are together, happy, healthy & safe, which is truly all that matters," she added. "We are deeply grateful to all of the heroes who help battle fires, as well as care for everyone affected by the aftermath for years to come. This will be an extended process of rebuilding and grieving for many, but we are feeling optimistic & inspired to welcome all of the exciting newness of our fresh start!" In a recent interview with CBS News, Milo revealed that among the parts of their home that were destroyed by the blaze was the baby’s nursery.
He noted , “The whole thing was set up.” Although their home is gone, he emphasized that they lost only physical things. “We’ve got good friends and we got good people we’re working with and we’ll make do,” he said.
“Wife and baby and dog, most important.” And it helps when you have a partner to support one another during this difficult time. It’s a point that Jarah noted while reflecting on their first wedding anniversary , writing on Instagram in September, “AlI I can say is that I am grateful for the life that we have together and the happiness that we have created.
" While the 41-year-old is willing to provide glimpses into her personal life, like their nupitals, Milo prefers to keep much of his relationships out of the spotlight. "I feel like there's a currency to your personal life and your performance—your acting, your work,” the 47-year-old told People in 2017. “If that personal life starts to outweigh what the work is, then your work suffers.

"I try and remain as anonymous and invisible as I can so it doesn't take away from the experience of the men that I play. I don't know how interesting my life is any more than anyone else's.
