Mild temperatures today ahead of a warmup into the weekend

Good morning and happy Hump Day! The weather might be cooler today, but expect temperatures rise into the weekend. Low clouds and fog in the morning for coastal cities, San Gabriel Valley, and Orange County inland areas — but the clouds will clear away by the afternoon. For the beaches and coastal cities, expect highs in the low to mid 60s with temperatures not reaching past 68 degrees.

Valley communities in L.A. County and the Inland Empire will see highs in the mid 70s with the warmest areas being the western San Fernando Valley, which will reach up to 76 degrees.



In the high desert, expect temperatures to hover in the mid 60s. In Coachella Valley, daytime highs will cool slightly to 78 degrees. Tonight's lows will be in the mid 40s to low 50s.
