The blockbuster fight between social media superstar Jake Paul and boxing icon Mike Tyson finally takes place this week. Paul and Tyson shocked the world when it was revealed they would face each other in an officially sanctioned professional fight to be shown live on Netflix. YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, 27, announced the surprise clash with the 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion out of nowhere, with no leaks or rumours before the fight was set.

A July 20 date was announced, but medical issues with Tyson saw it postponed , with Paul instead KO'ing Mike Perry to move to 11-1. Paul , whose second pro fight was on the undercard of Tyson's exhibition clash with Roy Jones Jr in 2020, has now fought twice this year already having also beaten Ryan Bourland with a first-round stoppage in March. Tyson , meanwhile, who was once one of the most destructive heavyweights around, hasn't fought professionally in 19 years.

'Iron Mike' has impressed in training and was willing to get physical with the man 31 years his junior at their New York press conference. The American had to postpone the last bout due to an ulcer flare-up, but he's now over that and is ready to go under the lights once more. This clash will take place on Friday, November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas - the home of the Dallos Cowboys which can accommodate 80,000 spectators.

The card will kick-off at 7pm local US time on Fright night - that is 1am UK time on Saturday morning. The lightweight title clash between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will precede the main event and that is scheduled to take place after 9pm local time - 3am in the UK. No official time has been given for Paul vs Tyson yet, but it's predicted they'll go head-to-head at 10pm local time - 4am in the UK.

It will be a sanctioned professional boxing bout contested over eight, two-minute rounds - despite Paul's offer to increase each round by a minute. Each fighter will use 14-ounce gloves - larger than the standard 10oz versions. There will be no headgear and knockouts are allowed.

The outcome will also affect their professional boxing records. It will be fought at Tyson's heavyweight class - a first foray into boxing's headline division for Paul, who usually operates at cruiserweight (200lbs). Paul recently claimed that he expects to be 220lbs on fight night, 15lbs lighter than what he anticipates Tyson will be.

This event will still be streamed on Netflix, which will be their first venture into live combat sports. The fight will be available to all Netflix subscribers, meaning an estimated 16.7 million UK households can watch the action for no extra cost.

You can sign up for Netflix here for an initial £4.99 per month with ads or £7.99 per month without.

talkSPORT will also be across the event, with coverage in the build-up to fight week on-air and on talkSPORT.com. Our team out in the States will be bringing you exclusive content and updates throughout the week as well as a daily visual podcast.

As they spoke to the media for the last time before they step into the ring, the pair clashed with those asking the questions. It was boxing icon Tyson whose altercation came first.

In slightly broken English, the reporter said: "Hi Mr Tyson, I just want to ask a little question. "Can you share with us why did you say this sentence - 'The fear of losing is [more] frightening than dying.' "What would you lose if you lose this fight?" Tyson initially replied calmly: "I'm not gonna lose.

" To which the reporter replied: "But you said that in the last minute-" But she was interrupted by Tyson who angrily shouted back: "I am not gonna lose, did you hear what I said?" Not long later, it was Paul's turn. A different reporter stood up and asked: "Jake you were just talking about your career and how it's grown. "And you've said in the past how you want to be taken seriously as a boxer.

"So when can we expect you to start fighting legitimate contending fighters in your weight class?" Paul recognised the reporter and fired back: "I think you're the same reporter from that other event." The man replied: "I am, and you didn't answer the question." Paul continued: "You're disrespecting Mike Tyson to his face once again, do you not think he's a serious boxer.

The reporter then left, prompting Paul to add: "He walks away." Hello and welcome to talkSPORT.com's live blog for this Friday night's huge fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul!
