Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth Ripped NFL Coach's Challenge Decision

Every so often, you'll see an NFL head coach throw the challenge flag in a situation that clearly makes no sense. It happened in the second quarter of Sunday night's matchup between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans, when Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs made an impressive sideline grab for a first down. Bears head coach Matt Eberflus threw the red flag to take a second look, though it was obvious on replay Diggs made the play.

Even NBC's booth team of Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth were perplexed by Eberflus' decision. “It looked like I saw the rubber come up..

” “We’ve been pretty clean overall since we’ve been here, those were just situations where we didn’t get a great look at it, and they were critical downs, so we made a decision to do it, and it didn’t work out,” he added.
