Mike Greenberg Already Worried For Caleb Williams' Future In Chicago

The Chicago Bears need to make big changes to build around Caleb Williams.

Historically, the Chicago Bears have struggled to land a franchise quarterback, and then manage and develop said player to lead the club long-term. The Bears, however, drafted USC product Caleb Williams to be the next signal-caller, moving on from Justin Fields to do such a thing. The Heisman trophy winner had an incredible three-year tenure at the college football level, spending one season with Oklahoma before taking his talents to Los Angeles alongside his head coach.

Since he landed in Chicago, Williams has flashed the potential he had throughout college. The Bears are 4-4 and Williams has completed 61 percent of his passes for 1,665 yards and nine touchdowns with five interceptions. They'll need to emphasize bringing in protection for him while getting a stout defense to help out the offense to ease his load moving forward. Not only that, but coaching matters. Greenberg explained that the club needs to move on from Matt Eberflus.

Jayden Daniels has a squad built around him in Washington D.C. with a head coach that understands the culture and what needs to happen moving forward.
