Microsoft has confirmed the PS5 version of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will release on 6th May 2025, or on 1st May if you pre-order the Premium Edition. Both it and the standard version are available for pre-order now, with the base edition costing £29.99 / $39.

99. Originally released in 1999, the upcoming PS5 version sports "4K Ultra HD graphics, a fully remastered soundtrack", and three expansions built into the base game. Those are Lords of the West, Dynasties of India, and Dawn of the Dukes.
On top of bringing back all the older content, multiple DLC packs have been released for the Definitive Edition. These are included in the Premium Edition. The PS Store description says: "Explore all the original Campaigns alongside best-selling expansions like never before.
With over 200 hours of gameplay and 1,000 years of human history, your definitive Age of Empires II experience awaits!
