Mickey Rourke's controversial The Masked Singer has resurfaced after he was axed from Celebrity Big Brother and the real reason for his exit has been revealed

Mickey Rourke 's unforeseen departure from The Masked Singer five years back has made headlines again, revealing him flouting the cardinal rule. In a throwback to 2020, Mickey — who was booted from the Celebrity Big Brother house in the UK — caused havoc by unveiling his identity prematurely during the reality singing competition. The actor took off his Gremlin costume before it was time, overshadowing his wistful cover of Ben E.

King's "Stand By Me" on the US edition of the popular series. "I want to take this off right now," Rourke insisted to host Nick Cannon, who desperately tried to intervene with, "Gremlin, you can't do that! It's not that part of the show yet! We've lost control! It's the Gremlin's show!" Nonetheless, he proceeded to unmask himself while the judges were mid-debate over the creature’s real identity. This incident led fans to speculate about his eagerness to also duck out early from Celebrity Big Brother.

After crossing the line one too many times, he was evicted on Sunday. Soon after, ITV confirmed Mickey had agreed to depart following his use of "threatening and aggressive" language. Ella Rae Wise, a housemate on the popular reality show, was left in tears after a shocking comment from fellow participant Mickey.

The incident occurred during a pirate-themed challenge when Ella informed the group of certain rules: "I have instructions for us all. We're not allowed in the bedroom, no one is allowed to touch the crisps or sweets," To which Mickey responded, "I don't like them," prompting Ella to say, "You've got to come with me!". Mickey's response, "Come in you?" left everyone stunned.

Danny Bear, a 32-year-old Drag Race star, quickly reprimanded him, saying, "Mickey, you can't make them jokes." A distressed Ella later confided in the diary room, "He's making me feel on edge. I'm a young girl.

I'm not a piece of meat. He's making people feel so uneasy." In a twist before Sunday's episode, it was revealed why Mickey was removed from the show.

Big Brother confronted him about his behavior in the Diary Room, stating, "In addition, you have used inappropriate sexual language to Ella." Mickey seemed surprised by this, responding, "Oh, I'm not aware of that but okay." Big Brother then warned him, "This language has caused offence to your fellow housemates and could cause offence to the viewing public.

"This is not the first time Big Brother has had to speak to you about your offensive and inappropriate language," the reality show reprimanded. In response, Mickey owned up, saying, "Yes sir. I did wrong.

I apologise. I'm sorry. I can't take it back, you know, I stepped over the line.

And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. "'Cause I lost my temper, and I've been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I'm very sorry. I'm ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there.

Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I'm sorry about that." After considering his conduct, Big Brother pronounced, "Big Brother considers your language and behaviour today to be seriously unacceptable and as a result Big Brother has no option but to ask you to leave the Big Brother house.

Mickey, is there anything else you'd like to say?" whereupon Mickey admitted culpability. With accountability in his voice, he conceded, "I blame myself, I know it was my bad. You know, I've got a short fuse and I know I upset a lot of people out there, you know.

And I'm sorry for that. I'm actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know, I did wrong.

I guess, like they say, I'm a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave, you know. I wanted to leave yesterday actually but I wasn't chosen.
