Mickey Rourke is exploring legal action against Celebrity Big Brother UK after his controversial exit. Rourke’s rep, Kimberly Hines , told TMZ on Tuesday, April 15, that the actor’s team is speaking with lawyers in the United Kingdom about a potential lawsuit against ITV, which is the company that produces the competition series. Hines alleged to the outlet that Rourke is being “unjustly” denied specific compensation.

She claimed that Celebrity Big Brother producers deliberately removed Rourke from the show over the weekend, which fell one day before the Oscar winner would have become contractually eligible to receive a higher paycheck. In addition to payment for appearing on the show, Hines also claimed that Rourke was contractually promised first-class accommodations for him and his team before arriving in London. According to TMZ, Hines alleged that Rourke was later informed that the network would only cover hotel rooms up to $300 per night.



Rourke has reportedly booked a hotel which cost him an estimated $50,000. Rourke was one of the 13 star-studded houseguests competing on the U.K. interaction of the reality series.

News broke on Saturday, April 12, that Rourke had been removed from the game . “Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour,” a spokesperson for the told Us at the time.
