The New York Giants' post-Saquon Barkley era hasn't been much fun, and this goes far beyond their 2-8 record to start the 2024 NFL season. When the Giants let Barkley leave in free agency, the obvious worst-case scenario was the running back possibly signing with a division rival. The 27-year-old did just that, joining the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency and giving the Giants a front-row seat to watch how poor their decision was.

To make matters worse, fans, analysts and even players have constantly trolled the Giants for the decision to let Barkley walk in free agency. And during Thursday night's Week 11 matchup between the Eagles and Washington Commanders, the comments ramped up again during another impressive performance from the running back. Bill Streicher-Imagn Images Among the many people who voiced their opinion, Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons had plenty to say about it on social media.

But after first joking that he "blames the Giants" for Barkley's excellent year, he hit quarterback Daniel Jones with a jab . All jokes aside they giants almost made us believe saquon wasn’t HIM anymore!! That really says a lot!! Daniel jones was paid over saquon! He was worth more to there franchise!! This really says a lot!! Parsons rehashing the Giants' decision to give Jones a four-year, $160 million contract extension while letting Barkley leave in free agency is essentially just rubbing salt in the wounds for the fanbase. Barkley put together a stellar performance in the Eagles' 26-18 win over the Commanders on Thursday, rushing for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.

He also caught two passes for 52 yards while helping Philadelphia pull away in a game that lacked offense early and featured the Commanders holding a 7-3 lead at halftime. Barkley has now racked up 1,137 rushing yards and eight touchdowns through the first 10 games of the season while helping lead the Eagles to an 8-2 start to the year. Following the victory over Washington, the Eagles also hold sole possession of first place in the NFC East.
