ESPN reports Hill was handcuffed after a verbal altercation with police, citing unnamed sources. Hill received a ticket for a moving violation, his agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN—calling the police’s handling of the issue “heartbreaking” and “mind-boggling.” “Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support,” the Dolphins said in a tweet, adding all of the involved players are available to play in Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Dolphins defensive tackle Calais Campbell was one of Hill’s teammates who got involved, and was also detained in police custody prior to Sunday’s game, the Miami Herald reported. Rosenhaus reportedly said on NFL Network Sunday he thought Hill would “clear his mind, calm down and get through it,” and Hill did play in Sunday’s game and scored an 80-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Chief Critic Rosenhaus reportedly told NFL Network “this shouldn’t happen to a player entering his own stadium” and “there’s no reason Tyreek should have been treated that way,” adding they’ll look into what happened more after the game.
