Miami Dolphins star WR slowly returning to form during miniature win streak | Sporting News

On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins (4-6) scored a season-high 34 points in their win over the Las Vegas Raiders. A big reason why was Tyreek Hill, who had arguably his best game since Week One. Hill's seven catches on Sunday tied his season-high in the category, and he also caught a touchdown for the second consecutive week.

After scoring only once through the first eight games of Miami's season, Hill has found the end zone in each of the past two games. Most of Hill's struggles in 2024 can be chalked up to a four-game absence of QB Tua Tagovailoa, as well as his own wrist injury that he has fought through. During the four games that Tagovailoa missed, Hill eclipsed 50 yards only once and did not score.

Since his quarterback's return, he's done at least one if not both of those things in all four games. Hill also was not on the injury report this week after being a game-time decision against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10. It seems he is slowly getting back to full health himself, though there is still a chance he'll have offseason surgery.

With Hill beginning to return to form, the Dolphins have won back-to-back games for the first time in 2024. With a favorable schedule ahead of them consisting of four sub-.500 teams in their final seven games, they're not out of the playoff picture just yet.

If the Dolphins are going to have any chance, though, they'll need Hill to continue trending in the right direction..
