MG Cyberster To Start India's Electric Journey From MG Select India

MG Select, the premium sales channel, will have its product showcase in January 2025. Of course, as we had earlier written, the first car to be retailed via the MG Select sales channel would be the MG Cyberster and now it has been confirmed.The Cyberster was also showcased earlier in India and now it would be launched first though the exact specifications have been kept under wraps. The Cyberster is an all-electric sports car and will come with either a dual motor configuration or a single motor one which would form the starting range. In our previous interaction with chief growth officer, Gaurav Gupta, MG Select will bring in a range of electrified cars, including EVs of course plus hybrids and even plug-in hybrids.The range of the Cyberster will vary from 500-580 km per charge while the top-spec 77kwh battery pack version will make near 600bhp too. This means that the Cyberster would be fast and would be a nimble sports car with those stunning looks too.In India, you won't find electric sports cars especially below the crore mark but it remains to be seen what would be the price of the Cyberster. However, the Cyberster will not be an import in India.
