Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (46-28/28-49) WORCHESTER 4, SYRACUSE 3 ( BOX ) Syracuse had this one in the bag, with homers from Carlos Cortes and Austin Allen generating a 3-0 lead. Then Shitnaro Fujinami and Max Kranick combined to give up four runs in the ninth inning while recording only a single out, walking three and giving up four hits. A game best forgotten.

The game was tied heading to the ninth, but a homer from Kevin Parada broke the scoreless tie. Five batters later, Matt Rudick added a three-run home run that gave Binghamton some cushion. That was plenty for Joshua Cornielly, who capped things off with a clean ninth.
