MetMalaysia: Thunderstorms and heavy rain in multiple states until 5pm

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain across several regions of the country, valid until 5pm today.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain across several regions of the country, valid until 5pm today.In a statement, MetMalaysia advised that the affected areas included the entirety of Perlis, Penang, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Putrajaya.In Kedah, the affected districts are Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Yan, Kuala Muda, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu.

In Pahang, the warning covers Cameron Highlands, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin.In Perak, the weather is expected to impact Kerian, Larut, Matang, Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim.Parts of Sarawak are also under the warning, including Sri Aman, Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang.



In Sabah, the warning includes Pedalaman, Pantai Barat, Tawau (Tawau, Kunak, and Semporna), Sandakan (Beluran), and Kudat.© New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
