[Sun, 13 Apr 2025 12:58:36 +0300] Sana'a - (Saba): The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered thunderstorms in several Provinces over the next 24 hours. According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected in the governorates of Lahj, Taiz, Al Dhale'e, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, and Sana'a. Scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are likely in the Provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Amran, Al Bayda, Socotra, and Abyan, as well as parts of the eastern and southern coasts and adjacent inland areas.
The center reported that the amount of rainfall during the past 24 hours, measured at some meteorological monitoring stations, reached 24.6 mm in Taiz, 5 mm in Ibb, and 3.2 mm in Sana'a.
Scattered rains also fell on parts of the Provinces of Sa'dah, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, and Socotra, outside the stations' range. The center warned citizens of flash floods in valleys and ravines and lightning, urging them to take the necessary precautions to avoid them and protect lives and property. It also warned of reduced visibility due to rain, low clouds, and fog, as well as strong winds descending from cumulonimbus clouds and hail.
