Met Office's danger to life' wind warning for parts of the UK. It says that the country is going to be unusually windy over the next 48 hours. It has put two alerts in place for parts of Scotland, as of tomorrow (October 18), reports the Mirror.

While they have not been put in place in our area, the latest Met Office forecast shows that windy weather is set to strike here at the weekend. Meteorologists have predicted that on Sunday (October 20) our region is is set to turn 'wet and windy'. This follows some drier weather tomorrow (Friday, October 18).

Winds remaining light, and feeling pleasant in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 17C.

Tonight Showers easing this evening to leave a dry night with plenty of clear spells allowing for low cloud, mist and fog to develop. Feeling cooler. Minimum temperature 8C.

Friday A murky start with low cloud gradually lifting and breaking to reveal some sunshine. Turning cloudier and breezier later in the afternoon with spells of rain. Maximum temperature 16C.
