" Monday will be largely dry but a east to southeasterly wind will make it feel cool and a little below average for the time of year. The Met Office forecast fort Wales on Tuesday says: "Widespread sunshine to compensate for the chilly start. Remaining pleasant throughout the day with prolonged blue skies.

Temperatures near the seasonal average but with a chilly wind. Maximum temperature 10°C." Then the outlook for Wednesday to Friday says: " Plenty more sunshine on Wednesday with lighter winds.

" Met Office forecasters say that winds will turn to come from a more southerly direction by Wednesday meaning it will feel milder and stay dry and settled. They say that it will feel "warm in the sunshine" by Thursday. These weather maps from the Met Office show how hot it is going to get this week: It will start to get warmer on Wednesday as the wind direction changes.

Thursday will be the warmest day of the week. There could be highs of 19°C in parts of Wales on Thursday. There could be some more rain around on Friday but it will still be warm in the sun.

The long-range UK forecast for the end of March says that there is an "increasing likelihood that rain or showers will start to arrive from the south or west" on Friday and Saturday. It adds: "Wetter weather will probably spread to all areas, at least for a time and could be accompanied by strong winds at times. Into next week, unsettled conditions will probably continue across many parts of the UK.

Some heavy rain or showers are possible at times, these most likely across southern parts of the country. "Temperatures are likely to be widely above average at the start of this period before probably falling back and then fluctuating around average for the remainder of the period."
