Men's College Basketball: Unbeaten Riverland runs past Ridgewater

Blue Devils, who are 22-0, knock off visiting Warriors 92-73

AUSTIN — The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team improved to 22-0 with a 92-73 victory over Ridgewater College on Saturday. The Blue Devils improved to 6-0 in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. Ridgewater is 2-3 in the conference and 10-7 overall.

Riverland led 45-38 at halftime and had six players score in double figures, led by Damar Jenkins. The 6-foot-3 sophomore from Maywood, Illinois, had 17 points. Christian Campbell, a 6-4 sophomore from Miami, Florida, added 15 points and eight eight rebounds and Nazih Chehade, a 6-4 sophomore from Pompano Beach, Fla.



, added 15 points, 15 rebounds and four assists. DeAndre Holloway led Ridgewater. The 6-7 sophomore from Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg had 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Tyrese Mayo added 13 points and Aiden Wichmann had 10 for the Warriors. Mayo, a 5-11 freshman from Winter Haven, Fla., added 13 points.

Wichmann, a 6-3 sophomore from Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, had 10 points and three assists. Ridgewater plays Minnesota West Community & Technical College of Worthington at 7:30 p.m.
