Melcher-Dallas survived a trip to Mormon Trail with a split against the other saints of the Bluegrass Conference. The girls rolled 62-30 while the boys fell 72-to-59. Addi Wadle nailed six three point shots and led the Saints with 23 points while Ashlyn Metz and Kesley Reed both scored seven and Gabby Overgaard chipped in six points.
Coach Kelsey Goff told KNIA Sports it was good to get some of the younger players on the court to get some experience. The boys trailed early by as much as 19 but cut the lead to ten in the 4th quarter but could get no closer. Brody Johnson scored 19 points and Reece Chiabotta had 16 with six steals.
