MEL TIANGCO – Veteran newscaster Mel Tiangco has a funny reaction to the fifth pregnancy of host Iya Villania. Mel Tiangco is a well-known Filipino television newscaster and media personality, best recognized for her work as an anchor on GMA Network’s primetime newscast “24 Oras.” She was born on August 10, 1955, and has had a long and distinguished career in Philippine broadcasting.

The 69-year-old anchor had a humorous reaction to Iya Villania’s announcement of her fifth pregnancy . During last September 4 episode of “24 Oras,” anchors Pia Arcangel, Emil Sumangil, and Tiangco welcomed Iya back after a brief two-day leave. In the closing segment, the anchors congratulated Iya, who had revealed earlier that day that she was expecting her fifth child with husband Drew Arellano.
“Uy, welcome back from your two-day vacation. Ha? Tapos may baby nang dala at pang-lima? Ano ba ‘yun, Drew? Ngayon lang ako nakarinig ng ganiyan, ha?” Mel jokingly told Iya. “’Wag mo na akong pagalitan, Tita,” Iya responded.
“Ay naku! Pero last na talaga. Last na talaga!” she added. Pia chimed in, reminding Iya, “Never say never.
” Mel added humorously, “Delete, delete ‘yan. Congratulations. I’m so happy for you.
” “We’re a growing family,” Iya remarked. “Growing and growing and growing and growing!” Mel replied. Earlier, Iya shared a video of her family dancing to Lou Bega’s “Mambo No.
5.” In the clip, each of her kids appeared one by one—Primo as number 1, Leon as 2, Alana as 3, and Astro as 4. When the song hit the part counting to the number five, an ultrasound image appeared, revealing the pregnancy.
