If you've been watching the Netflix series With Love, Meghan you would know that the Duchess of Sussex is a keen cook. Meghan Markle has now officially launched her first range from her As Ever lifestyle brand, which features a series of premium treats, including a raspberry spread, honey, flower sprinkles, as well as cookie and crepe mixes. In true indulgent and glamorous style, the Duchess' new product line will set you back a pretty penny, or several pretty pounds in this case.
For reference, jam from King Charles ' Highgrove shop holds a price tag of £6.95, so Meghan's products stand at a much higher price range. The raspberry spread, offered in commemorative packaging, is priced at 14 dollars (£10.
80), whilst the special edition wildflower honey with included honeycomb comes at a cost of 28 dollars (£21.60). Flower sprinkles, which Meghan often uses and mentions in her Netflix show, are on offer for 15 dollars (£11.
60). In addition, the As Ever herbal tea collection—featuring lemon ginger, peppermint, and hibiscus flavours—is priced at 12 dollars (£9.30) per item.
The crepe mix and shortbread cookie mix each carry a price point of 14 dollars (£10.80). Meghan expressed her excitement about the launch in a newsletter sent out to her fans, saying: "Of course, you'll find the raspberry spread that started it all presented in keepsake packaging that you can repurpose to tuck away love notes or special treasures, and to remember this pivotal moment with me.
Think of it as our time capsule." From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What’s On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here . The unveiling of Meghan's new product range coincides with her becoming entangled in a near week-long dispute that has swept up Sentebale, the charity founded by her spouse Prince Harry nearly two decades ago.
Despite the controversy and his dramatic departure following a heated disagreement with the charity's chair Dr Sophie Chandauka, Meghan has proceeded with her product launch undeterred. Initially named American Riviera Orchard, the brand underwent a last-minute name change to As Ever just weeks before its debut, following trademark challenges faced by the Duchess. In a February Instagram video, Meghan didn't mention the trademark issues but disclosed Netflix's significant role in her venture.
She explained: "Last year, I had thought 'You know what, American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name, it's my neighbourhood, it's a nickname for Santa Barbara', but it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area. Then Netflix came on, not just as my partner in the show, but as my partner in my business, which was huge." Just before the launch of her highly anticipated products, Meghan revealed that they are designed to allow fans to "mimic the magic of Montecito in a way you can recreate at home".
In her newsletter, she expressed her intention behind each item: "Every item is inspired by the ways I show care to the people in my life, like the lemon ginger tea blend which is a fuss-free spin on the warm drink I make at home using fresh lemons from the garden. Or the crepe mix that transforms a typical weekend breakfast into a chance to reminisce." She shared her personal connection with crepes, saying, "Crepes remind me of my time backpacking through France as a student.
Biting into these streetside thin pancakes - filled with chocolate, fruit, fresh lemon and powdered sugar, or made savoury with ham and cheese - they truly are a canvas for flavour. I wanted to bring that memory and experience to you at home. (Also, they're so easy to make! )".
Meghan continued with an encouraging message: "I hope when you see what I've worked so hard to create, you're encouraged to know that whatever life brings, you can do it too. Your value, your creativity, your joy - that is you, as it's always been and always will be. You are you - As ever, and forever.
" She concluded with a reflection on taking risks: "Someone once told me the biggest risk you can take is deciding not to take one at all. Now, after careful planning and preparing (while also parenting! ), it's time to bring As ever from my home to yours so you can make the everyday exceptional in an easy yet meaningful way." The collection itself sold out minutes after its launch, however on the website the text next to the jam reads 'coming soon', which suggests the product is not available to buy yet.
The brand has confirmed that "As ever will release new product collections seasonally", but unfortunately for us Brits the products are only available across the US on the As Ever website for now. Hopefully for British fans of the Duchess, Meghan's products will be released in the UK soon and will be perfect to accompany an afternoon tea..
