The first episode of Meghan Markle’s upcoming podcast show, called ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’, will debut on April 8. Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is in no mood to slow down. Following her previous ventures including the debut of lifestyle brand As Ever and Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex is returning with a new podcast.

The first episode of her upcoming project, called Confessions of a Female Founder, will debut on April 8, as Meghan Markle announced herself in a post on Instagram. Sharing the good news about her new podcast with Lemonada Media, Meghan Markle wrote, “I’m so excited to share with you something else I’ve been working on: Confessions of a Female Founder, my new podcast with @lemonadamedia! I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities, and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses. They’re opening up, sharing their tips, tricks (and tumbles), and letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business, As Ever.

" Further, she continued, “It has been absolutely eye-opening, inspiring...

and fun! (Because what’s the point if we can’t have some fun on this wild adventure?)." Meghan Markle signed a deal with Lemonada in 2024 following which she released a statement saying that she was “proud" to continue her “love of podcasting" with the company. Adding, she also asserted that the thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts to support a female-founded company was a good way to kick off the year.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had earlier signed a 20 million-dollar Spotify deal. Announced in 2020, the deal ended in 2023 due to controversies and negative feedback for her podcast show Archetypes. The podcast only lasted for one season, with 12 episodes.

Owing to its response, Spotify chose not to renew the series for a second season. Meghan Markle was seen in her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan. The show has been criticised widely across various social media platforms for its content.

Given its feedback, Meghan’s announcement of her new venture has garnered mixed reactions from social media users. Not just that, her upcoming venture Confessions of a Female Founder has also been at the receiving end of the allegations regarding the similarity of the title to an already existing podcast named Confessions of a CEO..
