Meet Brigid Kissane, a senior in Advertising, and the iCAP Engagement Team clerk for the 2024-2025 school year. Kissane joined the iCAP teams after one of her instructors suggested the opportunity as a means to get involved in environmental communications. As a clerk for the Engagement Team, Kissane plans meetings and team projects with other teams, and assists with sustainability marketing and outreach around campus.
To Kissane, sustainability efforts start with local education. “We need to make long-lasting efforts on our campus and in the greater CU community. Starting with education and teaching through action is the best way to spread these values.
” Increasing engagement with sustainability efforts on campus and beyond is one of Kissane’s long-term goals. She intends to utilize the outreach skills she is building as an iCAP clerk in her future, with hopes to work for an environmental nonprofit. For fun, Kissane enjoys reading on the quad, going for runs, and writing.
