She is the great granddaughter of Princess of Cooch Behar. In 1999, Raima Sen made her Bollywood debut with the film Godmother. It featured Shabana Azmi in the lead role.
It was a biographical drama inspired by Santokben Jadeja. From there on she featured in films like Parineeta, Dus and more but not as a leading actress. She couldn't be the crowd drawing lead heroine in Hindi films.
