MediaTek has unveiled its newest processor, the Kompanio Ultra 910, aimed at boosting the performance of Chromebooks. This advanced chipset emphasizes artificial intelligence capabilities, enhanced energy efficiency, and rapid connectivity. It is engineered to provide sophisticated computing features that cater to productivity, creativity, and engaging multimedia experiences.
Below is an in-depth examination of the Kompanio Ultra 910's offerings. Manufactured using TSMC’s second-generation 3nm technology, the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 chip excels in power efficiency, enabling Chromebooks to achieve all-day battery life while delivering notable performance improvements. Central to its design is an 8-core CPU architecture, which includes a robust Arm Cortex-X925 core operating at speeds of up to 3.
62GHz, alongside three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. This configuration, combined with 12MB of L3 cache and 10MB of system-level cache (SLC), guarantees efficient management of both single-threaded and multi-threaded tasks. For graphics processing, the chipset is equipped with the 11-core Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU, which supports ray tracing, thereby enhancing gaming experiences and graphics-intensive applications.
To further optimize its processing capabilities, the Kompanio Ultra 910 is compatible with LPDDR5X memory (8533Mbps), ensuring that the CPU, GPU, and NPU receive data promptly.
