Gary Brown Marketing guru-turned-playwright Gary Brown set up Target Marketing in 1990, before selling it to the JWT group and becoming chairman of the Target McConnells advertising agency. The son of a Dublin docker, Brown played for and eventually was chairman of Shelbourne Football Club. He also sat on state boards such as Bord Bia and Bord na gCon.
