My son, who has been getting into Badminton recently, has been working really hard to train for a small tournament in his school. Unfortunately, it was canceled and now he is feeling down. “All of that work felt like it was for nothing” he said and it’s saddening.

I assured him saying that what you learn from Badminton doesn’t have to stay in Badminton and that it can be used in different aspects of life. After all, what one learns isn’t applicable to only one part of life. When I told my son that, it really got me thinking how limited learning can be.

True that one can learn, memorize, and master certain skills, but more often than not, what one learns is information and not knowledge. This would be like how decision making is improved in Badminton and is not only restricted to Badminton. When you let yourself immerse and learn while improving a skill, you can definitely take-away lifelong lessons That said, it is first important to know which skills will yield the most knowledge when one immerses it in.

One way to find this out is through the knowledge of one’s Heaven Luck. Heaven Luck is a factor of Human Success that deals with the innate traits one may possess. This also includes any affinities one may have regarding certain hobbies, jobs, or careers.

This is important because some careers are just not as worthwhile with you as it is with others. With its guidance, finding out which skills will provide the most benefit to you will be possible. While it is true that finding what fits you the best is important, oftentimes, one doesn’t get the luxury to choose.

In cases like that, it is best to work to acquire wisdom only gained through experience. In terms of the factors of Human Success, this would refer to one’s Man Luck, which is your hard work. While it is true that some jobs can feel like a slog to go through, with a little intentional living, one may learn unforgettable skills that will last a lifetime.

You may find yourself asking yourself “What’s It all For,” and the answer to that is for you. Things may seem out of control, but in the end, it happened to you for a reason. While we could survive it and wait for better days, it doesn’t work to attempt to thrive and pick up a valuable lesson here or there.

In the end of the day, nothing is a waste if you choose to make something out of it. After all, one must experience life to reap its rewards, not just live it..
