MCDONALD'S fans are set for a frenzy as new meal inspired by a "true global icon" will hit its Irish restaurants in weeks. The fast food giant has collaborated with the British artist Stormzy for their new limited-edition meal. Stormzy has teamed up with McDonald’s for a special collaboration, unveiling his very own Famous Order, available exclusively in its Irish stores from February 12.

This move brings the popular Famous Orders concept, which first launched in the US with stars like Travis Scott and BTS, across the Atlantic to the UK and Ireland. And the London based artist is now the first celebrity to have a custom order featured on the McDonald’s menu in Ireland. The Stormzy meal includes 9 Chicken McNuggets alongside McDonald’s world-famous fries, a BBQ dip, an Oreo McFlurry, and a Sprite Zero.

What's more, fans who buy the Stormzy meal in-store will also get a set of premium stickers to add some "Big Mike flair" to their tech tracksuit. To order like the man himself, all you have to do is head to McDonald’s and say “Order Like Stormzy” at the counter or the Drive Thru. In a recent statement, Stormzy said he was delighted to be part of his first collaboration in the UK and Ireland.

He said: " I am so gassed for my McDonald’s order to be the first ever ‘Famous Order’ in the UK and Ireland. Never thought I’d have my own order on the official menu. That’s mad.

" McDonald’s UK & Ireland’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ben Fox, added that Stormzy is the perfect choice to represent the brand. He said: "Stormzy is a McDonald's fan through and through and a true global icon. "This makes him the perfect superstar to bring to life the fact that no matter how famous you are, everyone has a favourite, go to, McDonald’s order.

"Introducing Stormzy's signature order is an incredible moment for the brand; two icons colliding, giving everyone the chance to eat just like Big Mike at McDonald’s and, if they are lucky, to nab some exclusive branded merch." But the collaboration doesn’t stop there, as fans can also grab exclusive McDonald’s X Stormzy merch, including limited edition tumblers and digitally signed artworks. For more details on the merch, McDonald’s Ireland said to keep an eye on their social media pages.

This comes after McDonald's announced they have brought back a menu item which has not been seen in almost a decade. The home of the Golden Arches has started selling its iconic McRib burger across its 1,300-plus sites in the UK and Ireland. The savoury treat was first added to the main UK McDonald's menu in 1981 but was taken off just four years later.

It comes with a boneless pork patty covered in barbecue sauce, topped with onions and pickles, and will cost €4.49 as an individual item. Or punters will be charged €6.

19 if they include it as part of a medium extra value meal. The news comes as social media has been awash with rumours about whether or not McDonald's would bring the much-loved burger back. Maccies teased the return of its McRib with a test notification on the McDonald's rewards app, sending customers into a frenzy.
