CORAOPOLIS – Nick McCullough returned a punt 80 yards for a touchdown and Peters Township bounced back from its first loss of the season by rallying for to beat Moon, 23-14, Friday night in a key Class 5A Allegheny Six Conference game. PT (1-1, 6-1), which lost to Upper St. Clair last week, trailed 14-7 at halftime but took control after McCullough’s punt return tied the score in the third quarter.

The Indians’ Nick Courie scored on his second short TD run of the game to put PT up 21-14. Peters Township added a safety to make it a two-score lead. Moon (0-2, 3-3) did all of its scoring in a two-minute span late in the second quarter.



A 75-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Cross to Jared Moyer tied the score at 7-7. On the next possession, Moyer sacked PT quarterback Nolan DiLucia and caused a fumble, which was scooped up and returned 35 yards for a touchdown by Nick Clemens..
