VEHARI - Vehari Deputy Commissioner Imrana Tauqeer on Saturday distributed promotion letters to 18 employees of the Revenue Department and congratulated them on their well-deserved ca­reer advancements. Abdul Wahid and Muhammad Sarwar were promoted from Senior Clerk to Assistant, while Sarfraz Ahmed, Sajjad Haider, Na­zir Ahmed, and Ghulam Murtaza were elevated from Junior Clerk to Senior Clerk. Additionally, Kha­lid Mahmood and Muhammad Khalid Nazeer advanced from Class Four to Junior Clerk, where­as Mubashir Shahzad, Ghulam Abbas, and Zulfiqar Ahmed were promoted from Class Four to Offi­cer.

Muhammad Iqbal Lurka was promoted to Qanungo. While speaking on this occa­sion, Deputy Commissioner Im­rana Tauqeer emphasised that promotion is the fundamental right of every employee and that the process was conducted based on seniority, merit, and capability. She expressed the hope that the promoted em­ployees would continue to serve with dedication and diligence.



Meanwhile, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner to re­view price control, Ramazan relief markets, eradication of encroachments, and Eid-ul-Fitr arrangements. Highlighting the administration’s commitment to ensuring price stability, she stated that, on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, price control magistrates will actively monitor markets to en­sure the provision of essential items at fixed prices. The adminis­tration is also taking measures against public transport opera­tors engaged in overcharging and overloading. The Solid Waste Management Company has been directed to ensure the cleanliness of mosques, graveyards, parks, bus stations, and other public plac­es.

Lime will be sprinkled on the routes leading to Eid prayer gatherings, and floral arrange­ments will be made at entranc­es. Security arrangements for all mosques will be ensured, and enforcement teams will con­tinue their anti-encroachment operations even during Eid holidays. She also announced a strict ban on swimming in riv­ers and canals, with police and Rescue 1122 personnel actively monitoring the situation.
