MassDEP: No wetlands violation in Centralville project

LOWELL — In a ruling issued Aug. 27, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection said the Centralville property, informally known as the Apple Orchard, is not subject to the Wetlands Protection Act. The decision allows the Pelham, NH-based developer to proceed with its plans to build 17 single-family homes on the perimeter of the almost 6-acre site that borders Llewellyn Street, and sits directly across from the Christian Hill Reservoir.
