The fatalities included two individuals killed near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, seven members of the Zaqout family targeted in the same city, and seven others, including three children, who perished in an airstrike on a home belonging to the Abu Shaker Shaldan family in Gaza City. The health ministry reported repeated bombings of Kamal Adwan Hospital, which intensified over the past 47 days. The hospital’s director sustained injuries during a drone strike, while the facility’s power generator, oxygen, and water systems were disabled.
Twelve medical staff were injured, creating fear among patients and the wounded, according to Hamas. “The persistence of this fascist government, led by war criminals wanted by international justice, in conducting campaigns of brutal genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement against unarmed civilians—especially in northern Gaza—constitutes an affront to humanity, international law, and the global community as a whole,” Hamas stated. The Gaza-based resistance group called for international sanctions against Israeli regime to end its aggression, lift the blockade, and allow Palestinians to exercise their political rights, including self-determination.
Elsewhere in Beit Lahia, Israeli forces re-entered the al-Daqqa area, using bulldozers and explosive robots to destroy homes, the health ministry said. The ongoing siege in northern Gaza has caused widespread deprivation, with 2,300 fatalities reported in the area alone. On Saturday, the destruction of al-Farouq Mosque in central Gaza marked the 967th mosque destroyed by Israeli forces in the past 13 months.
The ministry also declared famine in central and southern Gaza due to the ongoing blockade preventing aid and food from reaching the population. A poignant video released by a resistance news outlet depicted a Gazan mother mourning her son, killed in an Israeli strike on Khan Younis. Since last October, the Israeli genocidal war has claimed 44,176 Palestinian lives, mostly women and children, and left 104,473 wounded.
