Maryland man killed in I-81 crash in central Pa.

A man was ejected from his car and killed early Sunday after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81 in Franklin County, police said. Dru N. Feeley, 21, of Hagerstown, Maryland, was speeding in the left lane of I-81 north in Antrim Township when a tractor-trailer merged in front of him to avoid a vehicle stopped on the highway’s shoulder, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Feeley crashed into the back of the tractor-trailer around 3:30 a.m. and was thrown from his car at mile marker 6.



9, landing in the right lane of I-81 north, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the tractor-trailer’s driver — a 34-year-old man from Kemp, Texas — was not hurt.

Police are asking any drivers with dash camera footage of the crash to call the state police’s Chambersburg barracks at 717-264-5161.
