With Marvel Rivals quickly becoming one of the biggest multiplayer games ever, the popular hero shooter has been met with in-game harassment and massive waves of cheaters. While developer NetEase games has already been praised for its rapid punishment of cheaters , they’ve now introduced a new method of cracking down on hackers that hits everyone. Marvel Rivals cheaters destroy everyone’s matches Added in a recent update for Marvel Rivals, NetEase’s new cheater detection software now shuts down entire matches as soon as a hacker is detected.
Fans playing with a cheater on either their team or an enemy team will receive a pop-up as soon as cheating is detected. A full-screen pop-up will interrupt an ongoing match and “terminate” the match. Matches that are terminated for hosting cheaters will end for every player involved.
However, there will be no penalties for non-cheaters other than having their time wasted. “Cheater Detected,” the pop-up reads . “Match Terminated: The cheater has been punished and this match will be invalidated.
Nothing will be recorded on the record page.” Marvel Rivals has quickly become the gold standard for anti-cheat in modern gaming, despite having its own unique anti-cheat detection. Alongside games like Delta Force , many other games have a lot to learn in cheat detection.

With cheaters still finding ways of decimating public and ranked matches , many players are becoming increasingly frustrated at the game.
