GaadiWaadi -Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 1,50,743 units in the month of March 2025; The Swift stood at the top spot followed by the Wagon R and ErtigaMaruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is the top car manufacturer in the country and sports an extensive line-up of high selling models. The home-grown carmaker is ready to launch its first electric, the e Vitara in the Indian market next month. The company sold a total of 1,50,743 cars in March 2025, continuing its dominance at the top spot in the domestic sales tally.
Comparing the previous year’s figures, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,52,718 units in March 2024, registering a 1% YOY de-growth.The MOM analysis reveals a 6% de-growth as the company sold 1,60,791 units in February 2025. Talking about the model-wise sales, the Swift became the Maruti’s top performer with 17,746 units in the bag, registering a commendable 13% YOY growth.
It is followed by the Wagon R and Ertiga by selling 17,175 and 16,804 units, respectively. For reference, the Fronx was the top-seller in February 2025 and it slipped to sixth spot last month.The Wagon R gained by a good 5% in YOY sales while the Ertiga’s YOY growth stood at a considerable 13%.
Trailing behind these high volume pullers is the Brezza which bagged 16,546 units in March 2025, a 13% growth from the previous year. The Dzire made its mark by posting sales of 15,460 units with 3% YOY de-growth. The Fronx’s sales bar stood at 13,669 units, a 9% growth from the previous year.

Similarly, it lost by 21% in the MOM sales. The entry level Alto managed to bag 9,867 units last month while registering a 6% growth in YOY sales.The XL6 MPV managed to sell 3,105 units with a 31% YOY de-growth.
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco performed very well last month with 10,409 units in its portfolio. Apart from this, the Jimny bagged just 261 units in March 2025. The Ciaz managed to sell 676 units last month and a 15% YOY growth can be observed.

The Celerio and S Presso posted sales of 2,268 and 1,788 units, respectively. The S Presso’s sales saw a dip of 28% in YOY analysis while the Celerio’s graph saw a downward trajectory with 35% de-growth over the previous year.
To conclude, the Brezza, Swift, Ertiga and Ciaz are the top gainers in YOY analysis while the Celerio, Ignis, XL6 and S Presso’s sales declined the most.
