India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, on Wednesday announced a rise in prices across models due to rising input costs, operational expenses, regulatory changes and feature additions from April 8. While the automaker has been working to optimize costs and limit the impact on customers, it noted that some portion of the increased expenses will need to be passed on to the market. On March 17, the company had announced a hike by up to 4% starting April 2025.
This follows a similar 4% increase implemented in January 2025, which was announced in December last year. Additionally, the company raised prices again in February, with increases ranging from Rs 1,500 to Rs 32,500 across select models. The impact of the current hike will affect Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara the most, increasing by up to Rs 62,000.
