The eagle-eyed gossip account uncovered the faux-pas on Thursday, sharing an image which showed the newly minted couple kissing after Clint's shock proposal. But it wasn't the image that was the star here, but rather a comment on the post, purportedly written by Clint. However, it soon became obvious it was Jacqui speaking for her soon-to-be husband.

In footage shared to TikTok, the Tasmanian-based businessman is seen on one knee popping the question to his ladylove, before producing an impressive diamond ring. It wasn't long before an elated Jacqui said 'yes', scooping up her hunk and planting a joyous kiss on his smiling lips. Later in the footage, Jacqui proudly flashed her blinding diamond sparkler to her adoring MAFS fans as she grinned with glee.

Following the announcement, Jacqui's reality groom Ryan Donnelly slammed the shock announcement. He previously claimed his on-screen bride was 'never really on the show to find love'. In a no-holds-barred interview with Daily Mail Australia, Ryan revealed how Jacqui formed a secret connection with Clint while they were still married, all while maintaining what he called 'an agenda' to control her narrative .

Ryan didn't hold back when asked why he thought his marriage with Jacqui imploded so dramatically. 'Her motivation was to be the main character (of the show), I think,' he said bluntly.
