In the episode aired on Monday (November 11), the drama was off the charts with the couples gearing up for their final dinner party. But before anyone could even think about dessert, Polly and Adam were already in the midst of a fiery argument over their partnership. Polly felt undervalued and called out Adam for not making enough effort.
Adam, however, wasn't having any of it, which sparked a fierce back-and-forth. Adam, defending his feelings, shot back: "So why do you want to be with me?" He also challenged her with: "Why are you begging it off me? If I'm such a bad person yeah, then why the f*** do you want to be with me?" Adam didn't stop there, expressing doubts about their future with: "I don't think it's going to work," reports the Mirror . Things escalated when Polly accused Adam of being a "narcissist", leading him to lose his cool and exit the scene dramatically.
The night continued to unravel for the couple, prompting viewers to flock to social media site X to weigh in. Fans have been tracking Adam and Polly's tumultuous journey and many feel that Adam had been upfront about his reservations from the start, despite Polly feeling "led on". One fan expressed their frustration, saying: "Polly saying Adam led her on.
Girl, he said from the start he doesn't fancy you, and you basically forced him to give you compliments. Move on hun, he won't ever like you." Another chimed in with criticism towards Polly's attitude: "The way Polly spoke to Adam was completely vile! No relationship will work with that level of disrespect!" Yet another viewer remarked on the situation's clarity: "Honestly Polly he said on day one, you weren't his type.
Adam has been pretty honest throughout you just don't like what he's saying." However, not all viewers were against Polly, as a supporter highlighted a different perspective: "To me, the journey has been Polly making excuses for him; and Adam has basically made excuses- he never liked her- he just wanted to be on TV!" Married At First Sight airs Mondays-Thursdays at 9pm on E4..
