UK fans have been left wincing as the new series gets underway. The smash dating show, now airing on E4, returned for another season on Monday (September 16), with fans eager to see what will happen. The series sees a batch of singletons put their trust in science and get hitched to a person they have never met before.

Though the show first aired back in 2015, the show has undergone a slew of changes to make the British series much more like the Australian edition. Ramping up the tension, the show sees the couples meet once a week and watch as the tension amidst the newlyweds spill out on TV. With a new series kicking off, fans were thrilled to see a new set of hopefuls try and find love.

But one particular groom had viewers in shock as he opted to pull off a risky trick as he met his bride at the altar. In the first episode, relationship experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas paired mechanic Kieran Chapman from Newcastle with dog walker Kristina Goodsell from East Sussex. With the couple set to give their vows, fans were horrified as Kieran decided it was a good time to be cheeky.

During what was meant to be a heartfelt moment between the new couple, Kieran put in a pair of fake teeth to prank Kristina as she walked to the altar. When she saw the teeth, bride Kristina didn't seem to be all too impressed, with Kieran promptly taking them out. It appeared that Kristina and Kieran had gotten off on the wrong foot, but sparks were now starting to fly between the pair and she started laughing.

But Kieran's antics did not stop at the altar, as he decided to bring out his musical skills at the reception. Chatting to his bride's family and friends, Kieran got out his keyboard and dedicated a song he had specifically written to his future wife. However, both families were left horrified when the lyrics were revealed to include the bride "sh*****g on my chest".

His antics left neither family impressed, but fans of the show were were in stitches as they took to social media. One user declared: "This is the funniest, yet most chaotic fist episode ever in the history of MAFS UK." A second account was left in tears of laughter, as they penned: "Just watching MAFS - the teeth! Crying here!" Whilst a third simply said: "This first episode has been chaos, can't wait to see how the rest of this season turns out.

" Despite the shock from fans and family alike, Kristina appeared to take the hilarity in jest, with the couple going from strength to strength. The couple's journey will continue to be shown on the programme, as well as those of the six other couples featured in the show..
