M&S said the pure linen shirt would keep shoppers "cool and comfortable on warmer days". It said the relaxed fit, button-through front and collared neckline combined for an "effortlessly smart look". The retailer also said it had "thoughtful details", like a curved hem and "handy" patch pocket, which combined with the "stylish" striped print made it "as practical as it is versatile".

M&S recommended pairing the shirt with pure linen high waisted shorts and suede studded strappy fo otbed sandals .
