Manipur women working in fields fired upon, 1 killed
Within two days, two women were murdered in separate incidents in Manipur, India. On Saturday, suspected militants shot and killed a 27-year-old woman while she was farming in Bishnupur district. This follows the Thursday night murder of a 31-year-old woman who was allegedly assaulted and burned to death in Jiribam district. Police are investigating both incidents.
