An artist’s rendering of what the streetscape might look like.The first 41 residential lots of a 770 lot subdivision in Mangawhai Central are on the market starting at $370,000.Mangawhai Central, which covers about 130 hectares in total, is situated between Mangawhai Heads and the Village, and comprises commercial and retail, as well as residential centres.

Alvarium, which is managing just the residential development, says the lot sizes will range from 500sqm to over 1000sqm. Many of the sections have rural covenanted bush or estuary views, and all are connected by a network of green spaces, parks, walking and cycling tracks, and a jetty.The development will be delivered in six stages, with titles for the first (Stage 1D) expected to be issued next month.



Eighteen lots in Stage 1D have already been sold.The residential area of Mangawhai Central will be developed over six stages.The second stage (Stage 1) will include 97 lots, which will come onto the market around the middle of this year.

The balance of sections will be sold progressively over the next few years.An open day will be held on site at the end of Eagle Ray Road, on Saturday April 26, from 11am to 1pm.Assistant development manager Kennedy Taylor says the open day will be an opportunity for the public to view the completed Stage 1D lots and the progress that’s been made on the Stage 1 civil works and Stages 2 and 3 bulk earthworks.

She says there will be free activities, including a coffee cart, face painting, a gelato cart, and a bouncy castle. Plus, there’s a chance to win a $250 voucher on the day..
