Mangaluru hit-and-run: Two pedestrians killed by speeding car

In a hit-and-run case, two pedestrians were knocked down by a car passing through a ‘not so busy’ road in Mangaluru on Saturday morning. They died on the spot. Though the duo were standing beside the road without being a cause of obstruction to the traffic, a speeding car hit them and went ahead without even caring to halt and look at the damage caused by the speed.

On being hit by the car, the duo were thrown away to some distance with their belongings being strewn around. After the accident, they remained motionless indicating they died. Though the car did not stop, riders of other vehicles passing through the same road halted their vehicles.



The entire episode was recorded by CCTV cameras installed outside a shop and following the mishap, a person from inside the shop rushed out to understand what happened on the road..
