Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton are all out of contract in June and Ruben Amorim said a decision is yet to be made on their futures

Ruben Amorim has hinted that Manchester United are still undecided on the futures of four players whose contracts are winding down. Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton all face uncertain futures with their deals expiring in less than three months. Despite efforts to offload Lindelof last summer, an injury thwarted any potential transfer.

Eriksen, 33, seems set to seek pastures new come summer, while 37-year-old Evans hasn't been in the starting lineup since Amorim's debut game at Ipswich Town on November 24, making just one appearance off the bench since. Meanwhile, Heaton, who turns 39 this month, is back from injury. "We will see," said Amorim when questioned about the possibility of the four departing.

"We are thinking about next season but we have a lot of things to do. We know the Europa League can change a lot of things at our club so we are focusing on the present, not just the future." Amorim also empathised with United fans planning another demonstration against the surge in ticket prices.

With costs soaring to £66 and no concessions, along with many long-standing season ticket holders at risk of losing their seats for "high value" hospitality sales, discontent is growing. A sit-in protest is scheduled after the upcoming Manchester derby against City at Old Trafford on Sunday. "I can see that point of view," Amorim conceded.

"I think everybody here can see that point of view, can understand how frustrated they are. "Again, the only thing I can help in that situation is winning games, winning the Europa League to have more money to have more flexibility in the budget, to assess all these things. "So I will try to do my part to help the fans.

But all the people here understand the frustration of the fans." Amorim has emphatically backed United's belief that Amad will grace the pitch again this season. After enduring an ankle injury two months earlier, with initial predictions excluding him for the season's duration, a resurgence in his recovery has raised expectations for an imminent comeback.

"I think he is going to play still this season," Amorim said confidently. "I don't know when but we are really confident on that.".
