The incident took place in the the Ormeau Road area, near Annadale Embankment, on Saturday October 12. It was reported that at around 5.30pm, a man threatened the woman before snatching her mobile phone from her.
He then grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground. It is believed that two males then intervened and managed to break up the assault and the woman was fortunately not injured. The 30-year-old man who was arrested has now been charged and will appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said he has been charged with common assault and criminal damage. News Catch Up - Tuesday 15 October.

A man has been charged with a number of offences after a report of an assault on a pregnant 18-year-old woman in south Belfast.
