Man Utd could sell Alejandro Garnacho in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United are expected to listen to offers for most first-team players as they seek to raise funds for Ruben Amorim 's mammoth rebuild in the summer transfer window. Alejandro Garnacho is among the squad members in the shop window amid increasing concerns about his suitability for the Portuguese tactician's 3-4-3 system. The 20-year-old winger has sparked frustration with his lack of goal contributions since Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag in November.

He has registered nine goals and eight assists in 46 appearances this season, yet only six of those 17 involvements have come across the 28 games since Amorim took charge. Garnacho is a wide player who thrives at attacking space and getting in behind defences, particularly on the counter-attack. However, United's new style uses two more narrow attackers behind the striker, with wing-backs providing width instead.

Garnacho's struggles under Amorim prompted uncertainty surrounding his future in January amid serious interest from multiple clubs. Chelsea were among his suitors after Mykhaylo Mudryk failed a drug test last year, but a formal approach didn't arrive. Napoli's interest was reportedly the most advanced following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's winter switch to Paris Saint-Germain in a £59million deal.

Antonio Conte was so keen to add the Argentina international to his ranks that the Serie A giants submitted an official bid. According to BBC Sport , Napoli offered United a fee in the region of £40m to part ways with Garnacho, but their approach was rebuffed. The Red Devils were said to be reluctant to lose Garnacho midway through the season, especially because he was one of the club's most productive attackers in the first half of the campaign.

However, their stance could soften this summer, with Amorim believed to want to enact ruthless change to his squad after a disastrous start to his reign. United will have to sell to buy if they miss out on Champions League qualification, an aim they can achieve by winning the Europa League. Current loanees Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia are all expected to leave permanently.

Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton will also depart upon the expiry of their contracts. Other players will be moved on, but United may only be able to upgrade their attack beyond Amorim's priority striker signing if they cash in on Garnacho. INEOS' January stance suggests they value Garnacho above £40m, and Napoli could return to test their resolve at the end of the campaign.
