Man shoots, kills friend during argument related to video game, Chester County DA says

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. - A man is being accused of shooting and killing his friend in Chester County Friday. Holden Hoffsis, 21, of Phoenixville, is charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and other related charges, according to a news release from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA's office says Hoffsis shot and killed Daniel Gray early Friday morning. The Schuylkill Township Police Department was sent to a residence on Westhorpe Lane, Phoenixville, for a report of a shooting shortly before 3:30 a.m.



, the DA's office said. Investigators eventually determined that Hoffsis shot his friend in the chest during an argument related to a video game, according to the news release. Investigators also found marijuana and drug packaging material in Hoffsis' room, and a bag of suspected cocaine in his possession, according to the DA's office.

The DA's office says a silver revolver was also recovered on scene. He is being held at the Chester County Prison without bail..
