"Indian physicians and cardiologists quickly rumbled that this man has nothing to do with me and attempted to shut him down," Dr. Camm told Indian Express.

The Twitter account eventually vanished, leading him to believe the ordeal was over. But the impersonator, now identified by police as Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav, had bigger plans. According to BBC Hindi, the fraudster worked on 64 cases including 45 angioplasty surgeries that caused seven deaths. On April 5, an FIR was filed after Dr. M K Jain, the Chief Health Medical Officer, reported that Yadav lacked the necessary registration to practice in Madhya Pradesh.

Police arrested him in Prayagraj on Monday night and by Tuesday, a local court granted five days of custody to dig deeper into his past. The investigation has widened to include hospitals across India where Yadav may have worked, as police work to confirm his bold claims of having performed numerous medical procedures over the years. As for the real Dr.

Camm, he expressed his dismay over the news. "Your news is upsetting to me and probably much more so to the relatives of patients who suffered at his hands," he told Indian Express.
